Flash Fun Self Portraits

Instead of working on homework properly on Sunday I decided to play around with my flash off camera and see what I could come up with. I ended up lighting the backdrop with just a paper lamp from Ikea and tried to reflect on the opposite side of the flash (it kinda worked, I think). I was happy with these and also what else I got. I can’t wait for my lighting kit to get bigger. *heart eyes*
If you know me at all, or have been following along with my photographic journey, you will know that it’s impossible for me to feel good smiling unless its a genuine one; therefore, I will always look either sad or sassy in any selfie or self portrait. Unless of course I have someone around to help me with the giggles.With that said, it’s so rare that I do self portraits with other people around – I guess even when you’re comfortable on camera, it’s still hard to feel comfortable in your process with an audience.
