Environmental Portraits with Robyn!

You might remember this beautiful face from a wedding party I shot in the fall. Robyn’s payment for having me shooting the party was to be climbing lessons. I ended up interviewing Robyn for a feature (because she’s a badass, obviously) and then this location portrait assignment came up and I thought, who better?!

We went to Mount Royal last night where Robyn and her best pal Nate did a couple climbs to show me what was up before hooking me up and letting me do it myself. Robyn is such an encouraging voice to have at the other end of your line, and even though the adrenaline was rushing and causing me to shake it was amazing. We shot these portraits before I did a proper route and some bouldering and called it a night. I could get addicted to this!
